A tour named after a novel can go one of two ways. It’s either a standard city walk with a famous title attached, or it’s the real thing. This one is the real thing for a simple reason: Dan Brown didn’t invent Prague’s secrets. He set the book here because the material was already on the ground.
Over two and a half hours you walk from the Lesser Town, across Charles Bridge, past the Klementinum and into Old Town Square, finishing beneath the astronomical clock. Along the way your guide does the thing that makes this worth booking — separating what Brown made up from what he found. The alchemists Rudolf II kept at his court were real. The Jesuit astronomers who mapped the sky from the Klementinum tower were real. The symbols carved where nobody thinks to look are still there.
You don’t need to have read a word of it. We ask at the start, and the storytelling changes accordingly — nothing spoiled if you’re halfway through, nothing assumed if you’ve never opened it. No. This tour focuses on exteriors and storytelling rather than interiors. You’ll see the real settings featured in The Secret of Secrets, including the Klementinum exterior, Charles Bridge, and highlights in Lesser Town and Old Town, with no entry tickets needed.
This is a 2.5-hour walking tour at a relaxed pace with cobblestones and gentle slopes near the river and Old Town. We can add a private car/van (extra fee) to shorten the walking between areas, but some pedestrian zones still require short walks. If anyone in your group has mobility concerns, please tell us when booking so we can tailor the route and pace.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your tour starts for a full refund, including the booking fee. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start are non-refundable.
