Yes, the markets are open daily, and we visit a mix of iconic and local spots to give you the full festive experience. One of the highlights is the Old Town Square Christmas Market, the city’s most famous and photogenic market. But we don’t stop there. We’ll also explore neighborhood markets (open until December 24), as well as other spots that reveal how locals in Prague truly celebrate the season. After the 24th, we adjust the route to visit equally charming markets within the city center. The tour runs daily, 26 Nov 2026 – 5 Jan 2027, and every version includes plenty of holiday magic.
Can I buy souvenirs and gifts at the markets?
Definitely, that’s one of the highlights! You’ll find everything from handmade ornaments and wooden toys to traditional Czech crafts, scented candles, and festive treats to take home. Our guide is happy to point you toward the best stalls (and steer you away from the mass-produced stuff). The markets we visit are especially good for finding authentic, locally made holiday gifts you won’t see in regular tourist shops.
What kind of food and drink will I get to try on this Prague Christmas tour?
Traditional Czech Christmas cookies and a hot drink, such as mulled wine (svařák) or hot mead, are included. Depending on the day and the market, your guide will also get you a savory taste such as roasted ham, cheese or a potato pancake (bramborák). It isn’t a full lunch, but it’s enough to keep you warm and in the holiday spirit as we stroll.
What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?
This tour includes sweet treats and hot drinks, so if you have diabetes, don’t consume alcohol, or follow a gluten-free diet, please let us know in advance, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. We can’t host vegan guests on this tour, as traditional Czech holiday food relies heavily on meat and dairy, and suitable alternatives are very limited. Cancel at least 24 hours before your tour starts for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start are non-refundable.
Small-group tours can also be moved to another date free of charge at least 24 hours before the start, subject to availability. Within 24 hours, we can usually rebook you for €35 per person, subject to availability.

What time does the small-group Christmas markets tour start?
The tour starts at 10 am or 2 pm and lasts 2.5 to 3 hours. If you prefer another time, book the private Christmas markets tour and start any time between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm.
Where does the tour meet and where does it end?
We meet in the little Franz Kafka Square at náměstí Franze Kafky 24/3, in front of Amorino Gelato, right next to Old Town Square (not by the Franz Kafka statue). The tour ends at the last Christmas market. Each guide has a slightly different route, so the final location can vary, but your guide will help you find your way back to your accommodation.
How much does the tour cost and what is included?
€85 per adult (15+), €65 per child (6–14), children 0–5 free. The price includes traditional Czech Christmas cookies, a hot drink, a savory market snack when available (such as roasted ham, cheese or a potato pancake), public transport tickets and a local guide. Additional food and drinks, souvenirs and tips are not included.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Online bookings need at least 24 hours’ notice. If your date is sooner than that, please contact us and we’ll check whether a guide is available.
